About WA Museum Boola Bardip

The Western Australian Museum has a long and fascinating history that reflects the State’s rich cultural heritage. Established in 1891, it was known as both an Art Gallery and Geological museum before becoming simply The WA Museum when Phenomena - cited by some experts on identity as one of Australia's most iconic buildings- opened its doors to guests years ago this month!
In 1897 alongside these incredible exhibits from our natural world came other treasure trove discoveries, including Indigenous bark panels, which today can be found hanging over rows/rows across four different galleries, telling stories about lives lost fighting against colonial invaders; artefacts belonging exclusively Afropean origin proving life exists beyond Europe & Asia.

The Western Australian Museum is one of the State's most prestigious institutions. It started out as a museum for rocks and minerals but soon became home to so much more than that! Nowadays, there are art pieces hangin' around, too - check them out if you get time (we know how busy life can be!).
The long history this place has seen reflects both our rich natural heritage AND cultural moments worth celebrating over here in WA.

What to do at WA Museum Boola Bardip

The permanent exhibitions at this museum are fascinating and engaging. The first exhibit focuses on the Western Australian theme, which includes items from all over WA that have meaning for our state's history, such as Ngalang Koort Boodja Wirn--a display about First Nations people in WA who share their stories through art displayed alongside other artifacts collected throughout time periods dating back centuries ago! next up you'll find Innovations: A celebration of West Australians' ingenious creativity set to show off some amazing inventions made here...

The great thing about this resort is that they have something for every age group. There are programs, events and activities tailored to kids - including Little Learners (a program led by educators), which provides an interactive experience at their own pace, whereas other children can enjoy oodles of school holiday fun without any maturity restrictions!
